PODCAST: Abigail Shrier on “Irreversible Damage: The Transgender Craze Seducing Our Daughters”

Author and Wall Street Journal opinion writer Abigail Shrier joined JWI deputy director Garrett Snedeker and intern Spencer Reeves to discuss her new book, Irreversible Damage: The Transgender Craze Seducing Our Daughters. Shrier’s book addresses the recent rise in rapid onset gender dysphoria (ROGD) amongst teenage girls and the way peer contagion, social media influencers, affirming therapists, and concerned parents play into the story. They discuss the role of therapy, tort law, religion, Bostock v. Clayton County, feminism, and social media in shaping the way teenage girls think about their gender and what the landscape will look like in the coming decade.
